Nursing Practices and Strategies for the Prevention of Obstetric Violence and the Promotion of Respectful Maternity Care

Abstract

This academic work aims to analyze the nurse's performance in the prevention of obstetric violence. This is a descriptive study through Literature Bibliographic Review. First, we will compare the right to health as a fundamental part of the Wright to life. In this way, the obstetric violence suffered by pregnant women wibll be addressed, and how this violence hurts women's rights and health rights and how the misinformation of their rights contributes to the increase in obstetric violence. And finally, the importance of the nurse in combating obstetric violence will be highlighted, how the change in behavior of this can make a difference in the life of the pregnant woman in her prenatal, childbirth and postpartum, promoting autonomy in women and more humanized deliveries. The study shows that training, training and professional qualification in addition to health education and the inclusion of women on their rights are the best ways to prevent the occurrence of obstetric violence.
