The health care for elderly people with geriatric syndromes

Objective: to explore the importance of health care for elderly people with geriatric syndromes, highlighting the need for multidimensional and personalized approaches. An in-depth understanding of the clinical, social and economic implications of these syndromes can guide more effective health policies and improvements in the quality of life of the elderly. Method: This research was carried out using a quantitative and qualitative approach, and the method will be a bibliography review according to the authors Padilha and Borenstein. It had databases such as Google Scholar, Scielo and MedLine. The health science descriptors corresponding to the topic will be used. Results: Health care for elderly people with geriatric syndromes has been recognized as a crucial element in the context of population aging and the increase in chronic diseases. Conclusion: The review highlighted the need for a patient-centered approach that respects the autonomy and dignity of older people, ensuring that their preferences and values are considered in the planning and delivery of care.
